Sanger Heights History

The Sanger Heights Neighborhood Association was chartered on the June 14, 1984, organized to foster and promote a strong sense of cooperation and neighborliness between residents of our neighborhood, and to encourage and assist in the restorations, preservation, and improvement of the area.

Our little heart-shaped neighborhood is in the middle of our sprawling city and has seen a few ups and downs throughout its time. From being Waco’s “Silk Stocking District,” to suburban flight creating cause for concern and disrepair, our neighbors have revitalized and made it an area in town worth highlighting once more.

As the most multi-cultural neighborhood in Waco, we have churches of many faiths, neighbors of all backgrounds, and grocery stores and restaurants allowing comfortable and easy access to embrace your family’s culture.
