Pfaeffle Properties

Fred William Pfaeffle, The Cashier for the Geo. Willig & Co. Insurance firm, built 2224 Bosque Boulevard in 1912 as a wedding gift for his bride, Helen Gill Pfaeffle. The original completed photo was taken in 1914 and shows Fred Pfaeffle Jr., who was born in the house and later became the owner of Pfaeffle Insurance Company in the Amicable Building for years. The home is lovingly preserved now by Ellison and Kasey Rhodes.

Mr. Pfaeffle, now a partner in the insurance Company Keahey & Pfaeffle, built 2220 Bosque Boulevard next door in 1920 and his family moved there as it was a larger home. This house is now a rental property.

These houses are in the Ginocchio Addition within the Sanger-Heights Historic Neighborhood. Original photographs were provided by Fred Pfaeffle's Grand daughter, Sue Pfaeffle Anderson.
